Time is of the essence. Alternative solutions must be determined before Spring of 2009. Please join with other community members to once again take a stand. In addition to subscribing to our email service to keep abreast of news, events, meetings and calls to action, one of the most important immediate actions is to write and/or call with a strong message of support to our City Council members and mayor, as well as our Oregon representatives in Washington, D.C., and the EPA.  The message is simple: Portland doesn't need to destroy an amazing system, rebuild something totally different, and add hundreds of millions of dollars more to our current water system costs, for a problem that doesn't exist and isn't foreseen for Portland.
