WaterSMART Funding Opportunity

The USBR Cooperative Watershed Management Program (CWMP) and Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Projects has a call for applications, closing as early as March and late as May. The CWMP in particular is a great opportunity for either your FHP or your local partners to obtain three years of funding from one application for personnel, travel, and other coordination activities and requires no non-federal match. This is an excellent opportunity to increase capacity for executing strategic fish habitat conservation objectives.

There are links below to examples of successful applications.  If you look at the list of those who have received funding in previous years, you will likely see organizations with whom you are familiar.

CWMP is now open through May 20th 2025 under opportunity number R25AS00206 on grants.gov.

AERP is open through April 15th 2025 under opportunity number R25AS00029 on grants.gov.
