Welcome to the Steering Committee, Richard Zweifel!

Please welcome Richard Zweifel, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, to the Reservoir Fisheries Habitat Partnership's steering committee. Richard replaces Scott Hale as representative of the Midwestern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (MAFWA) and was appointed on January 24, 2025, by MAFWA President Pete Hildreth.

Richard is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, earning degrees from Mizzou (BS, MS) and South Dakota State University (PhD). He worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation in several different positions during the 1990s and the USGS Environmental Contaminants and Research Center prior to beginning his doctoral work. He began working for Ohio DNR, Division of Wildlife, in 2004 as a research biologist and became the research unit supervisor in 2012. He has administered the Inland Fisheries program since 2017. Ricchard now serves as the Ohio River Sub-Basin Delegate to the Mississippi Interstate Cooperative Resource Association (since 2022) and is Chair-elect.
